Ironía y autotraducción : de Epitelis tendríssims a El hotel de los cuentos y otros relatos neuróticos de Carme Riera

Eroticism and irony were the basis for the Majorcan writer, Carme Riera’s short story collection Epitelis tendríssims, published in 1981. The author produced a Spanish version in 2008, but in the meantime the reading public’s perception of these two ingredients had changed significantly. This article aims to analyze the process of updating of the original and the adaptations Riera introduces in order to preserve these stories from the erosion of time.
