Environmental issues through the artist’s book. The personal experience and scientific data in the works of Rosell Meseguer, Liz Menard and Ireri Topete

Main Article Content
Starting with the overall goal of studying the social function of the artist’s book, we examine how this artistic object presents an environmental and ecological perspective. Using a qualitative methodology within the interpretative paradigm, we studied case studies of works that, in their concern for nature, claim to retrain on the position of human beings in the world and the impact of their actions. Through documentary research, scientific knowledge, and direct observation, artists Liz Menard, Rosell Meseguer, and Ireri Topete integrate subjectivities into their artist books, exploring aspects such as nature experiences, land use and abuse, and the impacts of climate change on territory and people. They reveal a creative speech that appeals to responsibility, reflection and social awareness, underscoring a transformative character committed to their time.
