The activities developed by the association Mujeres con los pies en la Tierra (MPT) are

aligned with its main objective: to make visible the work of female scientists in the natural

sciences, paying particular attention to female palaeontologists. Since 2017, MPT has

developed visibility activities, learning and its own research. Visibility activities have

highlighted the work of different female scientists to build female role models that provide

girls, young women and the general public with references that have traditionally been

made invisible. For learning activities, various materials have been created in different

formats (physical and online), which promote learning about women scientists and serve

to implement a gender perspective in the classroom. An example of this is a board game of

questions and answers that, through a didactic game, promotes knowledge about women

scientists and data surrounding the situation of women in science. The association also

prepares training activities on gender perspective mainly focused on teachers, such as workshops, lectures or courses. In terms of research, scientific articles and contributions to

meetings we have developed different works in which the problems associated with women

in deposits, field trips and scientific congresses are discussed. In summary, the efforts

developed by MPT are aimed at breaking down prejudices and making visible women who

have been crucial for scientific development since the beginning of the history of science.
