In addition to putting human life at risk, pandemics involve cultural, social and economic changes. The aim of the contribution is to reflect on the educational change that this new world entails, with an excess of information on the internet, an immediacy in receiving information and a situation in which often the teacher and the learner are not only in a physical space. The study focuses on post-compulsory education, specifically occupational training. The methodology was based on an analysis of contributions of thinkers who address the phenomenon of education, which has been accompanied by sources that analyze the pandemic. In addition, the environment of the institutes, current regulations and those created as a result of COVID-19, help to contextualize the theoretical framework. It is concluded that teaching staff have had to be renew their knowledge in the technological field, which has made them more competent, but also more vulnerable and dependent. A form of education that was already emerging has now been implemented: e-education. An entire model of physical contact has been diluted, and now education is conceived through the internet, which is in no way neutral or critical and often aims to influence the individual to change their behavior.
