The article presented below, intends to iniciate a study on the state of the art about the creation of educational videogames by the Spanish teachers, and the possibilities and limitations of such activity in the educational context. To carry out this study, a systematic documentary research has been carried out with search in the main educational databases (ERIC, Teacher Reference Center, SCIELO, Dialnet, Redalyc, IACOBUS or Google Académico). The results show us that there is a little developed field. The facet of creation of resources in general, and of educational videogames especially, is scantily developed by the teachers. There is a tendency to use didactic materials previously elaborated, generating, thus, a smaller capacity of decision in its integration in the educative context
