The purpose of the article is to make a number of points about the curriculum in the educational reform project. Following an introduction focusing on discussion and general assessment of the project, a few basic ideas are put forward on current trends in curricular design and theory. The intention is to create a framework, insofar as possible, for later discussion, according to the author's view, which is based in turn on alternative conceptions like those of Skilbeck, Lenton and Stenhouse. This is followed by an analysis of the brief curricular conception contained in the project. The need i5 stressed for flexible, open and orientative proposals that will capture the interest of faculty so they will feel committed to carrying it through. And attention is drawn to the need to have sufficient means available and to train faculty, who are the true re-creators of the curriculum in each center.
