The transformation of a subject from traditional methodology to project-based learning (PBL): lessons learned

The transformation process of a subject that followed a traditional-based methodology to a project-based-learning (PBL) approach is described. After the first academic course, changes were implemented in order to balance the supervised group-work sessions and lectures to ensure the learning of fundamental concepts. Surveys conducted on students showed that a high percentage appreciated the change and valued how the development of soft skills would favour them in their career prospects.
