Abstract

We live in a society that is changing at a great pace, and in which the ever-greater proliferation of stimuli and the use of new technologies contribute to making stress an increasingly common phenomenon with more significant repercussions, to the detriment of our physical, psychic and emotional well-being. In this context, we present mindfulness as a new form of spirituality, one that helps social educators to understand their own inner worlds and at the same time respond to some of the present needs of the people with whom they work.
