The Escala d 'Aprenents is an educational and social initiative that caters to adolescents aged 14 to 20 years wi th learning difficulties associated with personal and social problems. They are taught basic skills geared towards helping th em find a jobo The Escala d 'Aprenents has dec ided to undertake an ongoing improvement process, working on quality, with a view to achieving the ISO 900 112000 certification within two years. This article desc ribes the initi a l experience, planning, calendar, improvement teams and areas of work. Finally, four recommendations are given for any organi sations that may be thinking about embarking upon an ongoing improvement process.
