Amics de la sociologia relacional? El corrent relacional com a espai d’hospitalitat

El text interpreta els escrits de François Dépelteau des del punt de vista de l’hospitalitat com a invitació perquè els acadèmics participin concretant les idees i pràctiques clau del moviment de la sociologia relacional. D’aquesta manera, en lloc de buscar pistes d’on parli d’hospitalitat, el text explora el seu pensament com a hospitalitat. Estudia els seus pensaments sobre com la sociologia relacional podria provar i ampliar de manera performativa les possibilitats de crear hospitalitat dins del moviment de la sociologia relacional. A més, l’article suggereix que l’antinòmia entre el que Jacques Derrida anomena hospitalitat incondicional i condicional resulta útil quan es tracta d’explicar les opinions de Dépelteau sobre com mantenir viva la sociologia relacional com a projecte o moviment intel·lectual. Així doncs, es mantindrà la dificultat de la construcció de la comunitat, però reduïda a trobar un equilibri entre abraçar la diferència i protegir la identitat.

Olli Pyyhtinen, Universitat de Tampere

Professor associat al nou programa de recerca sociològica de la Universitat de Tampere, Finlàndia. La seva recerca s’enllaça amb la teoria social, la filosofia, els estudis de ciència i tecnologia, la sociologia econòmica i l’estudi de l’art, i és autor, per exemple, de The Simmelian Legacy (2018), More-than-Human Sociology (2015), The Gift and Its Paradoxes (2014), i Simmel and the Social (2010), i coautor de Disruptive Tourism and its Untidy Guests (2014).
