Allegories of exile in Anna Murià’s «La finestra de gel»

This article proposes a reading of Anna Murià’s story «La finestra de gel» as an allegory of exile, meaning by allegory, after W. Benjamin and F. Jameson, the device which allows to detect in the literary text the historical experience, both personal and collective, that runs through it. Taking its cue from Josep Solanes’ studies, it elicits in the said story the psychological and psychoanalytical dimension of traumatic experience and shows the difficulty of narrating it.
