Resum

La salut i la malaltia són fenòmens multidimensionals que cal comprendre i abordar de forma holística i integral. La salut i la malaltia no poden ser enteses com a processos únicament biològics o objectius, sinó com el resultat de la confluència de múltiples causes i circumstàncies que interaccionen mútuament. L’experiència subjectiva de cada persona envers aquests processos, així com l’expressió dels significats i models explicatius al respecte, són, més enllà de les lògiques científiques i biològiques, un relat únic i fonamental en l’experiència de patiment. Al mateix temps, la salut i la malaltia no poden deslligar-se dels fenòmens socials i estructurals que impregnen les persones i els seus entorns, així com dels eixos de desigualtats que conflueixen i expliquen les seves experiències vitals. En aquest article es presenta una aproximació als fenòmens de salut i malaltia de les persones que pretén aprofundir en com la desigualtat influeix en l’experiència de malaltia per mitjà dels eixos de desigualtat. Situant el model sobre interseccionalitat com a marc teòric principal i punt de partida de les autores, es presenten tres casos que exemplifiquen subjectivitats i models explicatius diferents davant el fenomen de malaltia. Finalment, es conclou amb una reflexió sobre la necessitat d’incorporar aquesta perspectiva en la formació dels futurs professionals de la salut, adreçada a formar persones sensibles i competents en la identificació i acció davant d’aquestes realitats diverses.
