ABSTRACT: The research aims to weigh the degree of adherence or discrepancy of a significant sample of more than five hundred students from Blanquerna-URL regarding statements by Pope Francis set out in three documents of his magisterium: Christus vivit, Fratelli tutti and Laudato si’. The chosen sentences are not part of the theological core or the essence of the Christian experience, but are of an anthropological, axiological, ethical, and humanistic nature. For this reason, the issues in the questionnaire have been grouped into three typologies: Person and institutions; Values, attitudes and convictions; and Culture and the world.
The results indicate the need to continue knowing university students more accurately, especially concerning aspects related to meaning, interpersonal relationships, the role of young people in the contemporary world, interiority, the evolution of the world, etc. This sample evinces a deep empathy with most of the propositions in the texts of Pope Francis.
In a context of pluralism and secularization, this proximity can be a valuable platform for dialogue and for walking together. And for Christian inspired educational institutions, this may prove to be an opportunity to launch training projects with clear roots in Christian humanism.

KEYWORDS: Values, person, young people, culture.
