An everyday utopia can exist anywhere at any time. It does not need coordinates, it does not need history, nor does it have to be declared; it only has to be recognised, appropriate, overcome. They can appear and disappear at any time, They appear improvised, always unpredictable, uncertain, poetic, subversive, surprising... An enquiry, a project, a search, an experiment, an intuition, a construction, an object, an image, a meeting place, a need, a habit, any kind of reality, a conflict, a game, an instant, a life, my life…

Pilar Echavarría

Pilar Echavarria studies Architecture in Colombia (Universidad de lo Andes), Alemania (University of Applied Sciences), and Barcelona (IaaC). Author of the book "Portable Architecture and Unpredictable Surroundings" (2007), published by Structure. She develops research projects about Architecture, public space, dance and sceneography.
