Escenaris de coaprenentatge amb la comunitat: Pràctiques democràtiques dins i fora de l’estudi de disseny

La formació en disseny es caracteritza pel seu enfocament experiencial i orientat a la pràctica, i emfatitza la participació activa en projectes. L’interès pedagògic se centra en el desenvolupament d’estils individuals, posicionaments professionals i una actitud receptiva cap a experiències noves, en línia amb el panorama en contínua evolució de la professió de disseny. Aquest estudi analitza la participació de la comunitat en projectes estudiantils com a mitjà per establir una infraestructura de codecisió i coaprenentatge en l’estudi de disseny. El seu enfocament participatiu i democràtic desafia les jerarquies tradicionals de l’educació superior, transforma la relació estudiant-docent i adapta les pràctiques educatives a les necessitats canviants de la professió de disseny. L’estudi analitza les opinions dels estudiants sobre el coaprenentatge amb la comunitat utilitzant el mètode de la creació d’escenaris. Un taller fet amb dotze estudiants universitaris de quart any de disseny industrial i l’anàlisi temàtica de les conclusions va deixar veure que els projectes educatius amb participació de la comunitat que utilitzen mètodes inclusius motiven els estudiants i fomenten una actitud positiva cap al canvi de les relacions de poder dins d’un sistema d’estudi de disseny democràtic. Les conclusions també destaquen la necessitat d’un enfocament clar, un conjunt de principis per a una participació fructífera i la resolució de conflictes en el procés de coaprenentatge, així com el potencial generatiu de la creació d’escenaris com a mètode per a pràctiques inclusives.

Després de completar els estudis universitaris al departament de Disseny Industrial de la Facultat d’Arquitectura de la Middle East Technical University, obté el Màster en Disseny (MDes) i el doctorat en Estudis de Disseny a la Izmir University of Economics. Continua la seva formació acadèmica al departament de Disseny Industrial de la Yaşar University, on s’inicia com a ajudant d’investigació l’any 2012 i es converteix en professora el 2017. L’any 2022 és nomenada professora adjunta (doctora) a temps complert a la Yaşar University. Els seus interessos d’investigació acadèmica són el disseny participatiu, la participació d’estudiants en la planificació pedagògica, l’aprenentatge experiencial i els estils d’aprenentatge.
