Escenarios de coaprendizaje con la comunidad: Prácticas democráticas dentro y fuera del estudio de diseño

La formación en diseño se caracteriza por su enfoque experiencial y orientado a la práctica y enfatiza la participación activa en proyectos. El interés pedagógico se centra en el desarrollo de estilos individuales, posicionamientos profesionales y una actitud receptiva hacia experiencias novedosas, en línea con el panorama en continua evolución de la profesión de diseño. Este estudio analiza la participación de la comunidad en proyectos estudiantiles como medio para establecer una infraestructura de codecisión y coaprendizaje en el estudio de diseño. Su enfoque participativo y democrático desafía las jerarquías tradicionales de la educación superior, transforma la relación estudiante-docente y adapta las prácticas educativas a las necesidades cambiantes de la profesión de diseño. El estudio analiza las opiniones de los estudiantes sobre el coaprendizaje con la comunidad utilizando el método de la creación de escenarios. Un taller realizado con doce estudiantes universitarios de cuarto año de diseño industrial y el análisis temático de las conclusiones reveló que los proyectos educativos con participación de la comunidad que emplean métodos inclusivos motivan a los estudiantes y fomentan una actitud positiva hacia el cambio de las relaciones de poder dentro de un sistema de estudio de diseño democrático. Las conclusiones además destacan la necesidad de un enfoque claro, un conjunto de principios para una participación fructífera y la resolución de conflictos en el proceso de coaprendizaje, y también el potencial generativo de la creación de escenarios como método para prácticas inclusivas.

Sevi Merter, Departamento de Diseño Industrial, Yaşar University

Después de completar sus estudios universitarios en el Departamento de Diseño Industrial de la Facultad de Arquitectura perteneciente a la Middle East Technical University, obtiene su maestría en Diseño (MDes) y su doctorado en Estudios de Diseño en la Izmir University of Economics. Continúa su formación académica en el Departamento de Diseño Industrial de la Yaşar University, donde se inicia como ayudante de investigación en 2012 y se convierte en profesora en 2017. En 2022 es nombrada profesora adjunta (doctora) a tiempo completo en la Yaşar University. Sus intereses de investigación académica son el diseño participativo, la participación de estudiantes en la planificación pedagógica, el aprendizaje experiencial y los estilos de aprendizaje.
