Based on the faculty development model designed by the University of the Andes for continuous teaching improvement, this workshop proposed a self-assessment exercise based on research-based principles of effective teaching and their practical implications for teaching and learning. Through this exercise, participants identified strengths and areas for improvement in their teaching practices. Participants from diverse university backgrounds and disciplines acquired practical tools that will allow them to better direct their training and self-training efforts.
