We have chosen the title «Write to Learn» to describe our position on the teaching and learning process of written language, quite different from the more general trend to organize school learning starting to teach the code. From this position the process is represented by an explicit link between reading and writing and oral language knowledge. Besides the functions between adult and child it is different. The adult has the task of reading texts addressed to children (in reading aloud), the task of writing the texts produced orally produced by children; the children must participate in the reading done by the adult and make a reformulation or a rewriting of texts heard. Readings and shared scriptures will constitute the infrastructure of learning in an intervention program in the classroom presented in this article and developing long in some public schools in Barcelona.
