Abstract
Este artículo analiza un episodio poco conocido en las relaciones de España con la Organización Internacional del Trabajo. Entre los años 1978 a 1983 existió una Embajada específica de España ante este organismo que ocupará el antiguo Ministro de Trabajo, Manuel Jiménez de Parga. Tras cesar a petición propia, fue substituido por Electo García Tejedor en enero de 1983. Las funciones específicas del cargo fueron asumidas por el Embajador Representante Permanente de España ante las Organizaciones Internacionales.
