The image of King Ferdinand VII in Sabadell and Terrassa


Kings Ferran VII and Maria Josefa de Saxònia, after consolidating its sovereignty in Catalonia, decided to start their journey back to the capital of Spain. Kings departed on April 4, 1828 from Barcelona to Zaragoza, stopping in Sabadell and Terrassa, two towns known for its textile industry. The entertainments and celebrations of its people were continuing signs of allegiance to the monarch, following the guidelines of protocol very similar to those developed in Barcelona. However, both cities were marked by exhibitions of his articles and samples of love for the Kings, who visited their factories interested in how to promote them, but also in profit for the state
