Information technology, particularly internet, provide abundant resources and are very suitable sources to use for educational purposes. We know that students are regular users of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) although they are used primarily for their own leisure, in a wide sense. In this article I consider two key objectives related to this reality, which aim to improve the use of these technologies both in their general use and their application in class: first, I consider essential to provide students with strategies to discern the quality of websites, that is, to ensure the necessary reliability to use them with the rigor that requires the subject with which they have worked or for any consultation, and secondly, and from the previously established criteria, I can show some web pages that have been obtained as a practice and that allow us to enrich the subject of Spanish Language and Literature. From this dual perspective I emphasize the importance of developing classroom digital competence, investigation techniques, collaborative work, linguistics and literary competence. This didactic offer is incardinated as a practice with students in the Master of Teacher Training for Secondary Education in the subject "Learning and Teaching of Spanish Language and Literature" in order to train teachers to promote digital competence in their field.
