In this paper we present an analysis of the use of different digital communication tools as used by participants in two training programmes run on Internet. The results show that some of the previously imagined didactic advantages of the said communication tools will serve to perpetuate the universal myths created around the use of technology in education. This research has been inspired by the paradigm of qualitative research, using the methodology of studying cases, and attempts to cast a look back from the perspective of Didactics of on-line training.
