«Pájaros dorilos» and other talking birds: an intertextual reference in «La Arcadia»

This note examines an odd expression in Lope’s comedia La Arcadia: «pájaros dorilos». By examining the motif of talking birds and the etymology of the expression we defend an intertextual connection with the anonymous comedia La gran pastoral de Arcadia.
