Abstract
(3,5yl)methanes were prepared by condensation of 3,5-diaryl-2-pyrazolines with formaldehyde
under microwave irradiation condition. Antitumor activity of synthesized compounds was evaluated by estimating the effect of these compounds on the growth of cells. Breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), mammary cancer (EVSA-7) and gastrointestinal cell lines (HepG-2) were used. Four compounds have shown inhibition for HepG-2 cancer growth, three compounds were active against
EVSA-7 cancer cells.
