This article reproduces twelve letters and a visiting card sent by Joaquim Xirau to Manuel Bartolomé Cossío between 1920 and 1931. It forms just a fragment of the correspondence between these two Spanish liberal intellectuals, which strove for the introduction of pedagogy in the university in the first third of the XX century.
