Mari mutare és una investigació de disseny transdisciplinària sobre pròtesis biocompatibles inspirades en la figura paleocristiana del Green Man, un ésser híbrid humà-planta que representa el contínuum naturalesa-cultura. Aquests objectes tenen com a funció abordar l’excepcionalisme humà des d’una perspectiva postantropocèntrica, feminista i queer. L’objectiu de Mari mutare és explorar la multiplicitat de subjectivitats en nosaltres mateixxs i, en conseqüència, influir en la percepció de l’altrx. Des del camp emergent de la biologia sintètica, aquesta proposta es recolza en la metodologia de disseny especulatiu i es materialitza a través de biopràctiques transhackfeministes com a eines de creació de coneixement i de projecció d’altres futurs possibles. Els experiments es desenvolupen a l’entorn de la placa de Petri com a objecte epistèmic. La placa conté una unió simbiòtica de cèl·lules humanes i vegetals interpenetrant-se, digerint-se i assimilant-se parcialment mentre es freguen les categories de regne, espècie, gènere, cultura i naturalesa. Mentre es materialitza aquest procés, els subjectes humans proven la seva futura extremitat ajudats per un filtre de realitat augmentada (RA), com a proxy de la física, per tal de hackejar el propi reflex, la subjectivitat, i projectar-nos així més enllà del jo. Actualment aquest projecte es troba en curs (work-in-progress) i compta amb el suport de Pro Helvetia, Hangar Barcelona (programa Biofriction de la UE), Utopiana Ginebra i Hackuarium.

Vanessa Lorenzo Toquero, Hybridoa; Hackuarium

Vanessa Lorenzo crea ecologies de mitjans híbrids que incorporen a les persones allò considerat més-que-humà, així com les (bio)tecnologies que les entrellacen. Aquestes unions de mitjans interactius pretenen ressaltar l’agència del més-que-humà. Formada com a enginyera de disseny industrial i dissenyadora de mitjans digitals, la Vanessa es compromet de manera crítica amb la tecnologia i busca possibilitar simpaties estranyes entre espècies diferents i així fomentar els futurs postantropocèntrics. Originària de Bilbao i establerta a Lausanne, la Vanessa ha desenvolupat tallers col·laboratius, que ja ha exposat internacionalment, els quals se centren en la poesia radical del més-que-humà. La seva pràctica es nodreix de comunitats de hackers-artistes que treballen en espais alternatius per tal de subvertir el paper dominant de la ciència i la tecnologia tradicionals.
