Sylloge Epigraphica Barcinonensis (SEBarc), founded in 1994 by Professor Marc Mayer Olivé, is a scientific publication that aims to publish epigraphic studies and novelties of excellence and covers topics of epigraphy, classical philology, palaeography, ancient history, ancient topography, classical archaeology, and Palaeo-Hispanic languages. The journal is directed to specialists in these topics and aims to disseminate research results of high scientific level, unpublished material and encourage academic debate.
The periodicity of the journal is annual.

Guidelines for the submission of papers to Sylloge Epigraphica Barcinonensis
- The Authors interested in publishing in Sylloge Epigraphica Barcinonensis should send the manuscript to the address: syllogeeb@yahoo.es.
- Articles may be written in Spanish, Catalan, German, Italian, French, Portuguese or English. The maximum length will be 50,000 spaces. Articles may contain a reasonable number of images or illustrations. They should be accompanied by:
- A summary of no more than six lines in the same language as the article;
- Between three and six key-words;
- An English translation of the title of the article, the summary, and the key-words.
- Images should be sent in JPEG or TIFF digital format. Black and white photographs should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi; illustrations and maps should have a resolution of at least 1200 dpi.
- The Greek font should be used for quotations in Greek.
- Before the title of the article, authors should enter their entire name (names and surnames), postal address, contact telephone number and their email address, institutional affiliation, contact telephone number and their email address. In case of the presence of more than one author, the authors can choose the order in which to list the names.
- The editorial secretary will acknowledge receipt of the originals.
- The journal uses the double-blind system of external evaluators and only admits original and unpublished articles, notes and reviews.
- Once the articles have been definitively accepted, the proofs will be sent in pdf format to the author. The articles will have to be returned as soon as possible with the corrections made on the same text by hand. The author or authors of each article, once published, will receive a pdf of their contribution.
- This pdf will be posted in the cooperative repository Revistes Catalanes amb Accés Obert (RACO). From the date of publication, journal articles are subject to one year embargo. After the publication of the next issue, the articles from the previous issue will be available in open access.
- The authors can indicate in the article the source of funding and the project in which the published study was carried out.
Guidelines for quotations
- In the footnotes them monographies end the articles will be quoted NAME year, pp. xxx-xxx: WALTER 2004, pp. 232-233.
- At the end of the article will be placed the used bibliography preceded by the abbreviation used in the footnotes according to the following system
- Books: author’s initials followed by a full stop and surname in SMALL CAPS, title in italics, series and number without a comma inside parentheses, place of publication and year without a comma, page numbers 0-00

- Epigraphs
- Latin inscriptions will be edited in accordance with the guidelines in I. Di STEFANO MANZELLA, Mestiere di epigrafista. Guida alla schedatura del materiale epigrafico lapideo, Roma 1987 or those of the CIL.
- Greek inscriptions will be edited in accordance with the guidelines in Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum.
- Palaeo-Hispanic inscriptions will be edited in accordance with the guidelines in J. UNTERMANN, Monumenta Linguarum Hispanicarum III, Wiesbaden 1990
Book reviews
- Publishers or authors who are interested in having a review of their works published in Sylloge Epigraphica Barcinonensis should contact the Editorial Board. The journal will look for an author to do the review. The publisher will be responsible for transmitting the work subject to review to the author. Books sent directly to the Editorial Board will be subject to critical review by an author chosen by the Editorial Board.
- Book reviews are subject to internal evaluation by the editorial board.
Intellectual property
- The intellectual property of the articles published to Sylloge Epigraphica Barcinonensis remains in the hands of the authors who authorize the publishers to publish in digital and paper format under the terms of the license of Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) of Creative Commons, available at: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0.

- SEBarc has been classified in the class A in the ranking of magazines of the Agenzia Italiana di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca (ANVUR). It is evaluated in MIAR, CARHUS +, Latindex, ERIHPlus.
