For some time in legal teaching innovative strategies have been deployed which make use of literature as a potential resource for working on many and varied issues. This article presents one such contribution to this field, and in particular to the teaching of Legal Philosophy. The contribution centres on various extracts from George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm, which were used to analyse certain aspects of legal certainty. In connection with the same resource, the article also presents an array of dynamics that could be used to work on these issues in the classroom, as well as highlighting the benefits deriving from teaching experiences carried out along these lines
