MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
The journal Psychosomatics and Psychiatry will preferably publish papers (original articles, reviews and clinical cases in article format) related to the research and clinical activities of clinical psychology, psychiatry and psychosomatics, following the experimental models, both of biological origin and – in the case of psychotherapies – those who have shown evidence (eg cognitive-behavioral). These works can be published in Spanish or English.
Manuscripts should be submitted for publication to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Dr. J.M Farré i Martí, to the e-mail:mail: jmfarremarti@gmail.com, with copy to Neus Sardà. Secretària de redacción email: mneus.sarda@gmail.com, in .docx or .doc format.
Originals must not have been previously published or submitted simultaneously to another publication. The rights of the first reproduction by any means and means are from the Journal Psychosomatics and Psychiatry. Authors should state explicitly whether or not possible conflicts of interest exist and must accompany the manuscript of all corresponding permits to reproduce previously published material to be included in the manuscript. Accordingly, at the end of the manuscript, the authors must include a section entitled “Declaration of authorship, good practices and assignment of rights” three aspects: 1) Financing: authors must specify the entities that have funded the study project and / or researchers involved, as well as the role they have had in the research. If the funding entities have not been directly involved in the drafting and interpretation of the results, that should be specified (eg funding to carry out this study was provided by AAA. AAA did not participate in the study design, interpretation of results or writing of the manuscript); 2) Contribution: all authors must specify their contribution in the research and the manuscript (eg: Author A and B designed the study and wrote the protocol. Author C carried out the statistical analyses. Authors A, B and D contributed in the editing); 3) Conflicts of interest: all authors must declare potential conflicts of interest. If there are no conflicts of interest, specify “the authors declare the absence of potential conflicts of interest”.
Ethics Committee: Authors will disclose the procedures used in patients and controls, which were carried out under informed consent, explicitly mentioning the ethics committee that approved the research in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki of 1975 as revised in 1983 and updated in Taipei in 2016. It shall be stated that the present article was accepted by the Ethics Committee of the corresponding hospital/faculty/entity, with registration number, and on date. If photographs or patient data are reproduced, authors are responsible for obtaining written consent authorizing their publication, reproduction, and dissemination in print and on the Internet. This section will be included at the end of the manuscript. 5). Acknowledgments (if applicable).
Integration of Gender Analysis in Research:
- The research approach clearly states how the project's findings will be applied to the specific needs of men and/or women.
- The literature review identifies possible sex and/or gender differences and/or similarities to consider for their implications on research results in women and/or men.
- Research questions and hypotheses include a rigorous analysis of sex and/or gender that clearly addresses the issue of possible differences and/or similarities between men and women. The study, in all its phases, clearly distinguishes between sex and gender variables. Sex refers to a set of biological variables in humans and animals, dependent on chromosomes, and displaying particular hormone levels and anatomy. Gender refers to attributions about sex with socially constructed roles, behavioural expressions, identity, etc., occurring in a historical and cultural context, which may vary across societies and over time. It is important for authors to define how these terms are used.
- Research methods present samples disaggregated by sex and, when relevant, proportional representation of women and men (or animals, tissues, and cells) to ensure that the collected information will allow for a sex or gender analysis incorporating other key factors due to their potential interaction with sex or gender (age, ethnic origin, etc.).
- Relevant ethical issues, which may have particular implications for men and/or women (similarly or differently), are identified and addressed appropriately.
- Knowledge dissemination/transfer is proposed through a solid strategy that will facilitate the appropriate application of research results to needs.

The registration number of the acceptance by the ethics committee of your center will be included.
