Papers is a publication founded by the Department of Sociology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1972. The journal wants to record the research function of the professors and students of sociology at the UAB. Despite its concern for the problems of the society around us, it is not a "localist" publication but is receptive to the collaboration of specialists from all countries. Therefore, it brings together the most representative themes of the social sciences in Spain and in the Western world in general.
