Main Article Content
The objective of this paper is to summarize and synthesize the most significant scholarly papers related to language in students with ADHD. In particular, literature published in the last decade on this topic is analyzed. It is shown that there is still no agreement on whether ADHD affects language; however, most recent research seems to show that this is indeed the case. This paper recommends that, in the case of suspected ADHD, an evaluation of the individual’s linguistic components and, if necessary, an interventional process be carried out. The paper also provides a description of a model procedure for evaluation and intervention.
