Main Article Content
The article proposes the change of model that public libraries must implement if they are to get closer to the segment of the population defined as teenagers, particularly beginning with a revision of the rules. It focuses on the age range of 13 to 18 years and proposes ways of interacting with and getting closer to teenagers so as to promote the bond between them and public libraries: training professionals to do away with prejudices, networking or the essential and indispensable interaction with them. It creates a dictionary of the vocabulary used by young people to adapt them to key methodologies for this two-way relationship. Finally, a list of activities that can be reproduced in other facilities is provided, some of which have already been implemented and others as proposals for the future.
