Knowledge management in a university library

The authors describe the basic concepts of knowledge management and propose the application of this system in libraries in a society where the demand for professionals that know how to manage information and knowledge is increasing. In the second part of the article they expose the concrete experience, with real examples, of the Library Rector Gabriel Ferraté of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. The tools proposed are yellow pages, intranet, good practices and learning groups.
