Ruling 30/2015, of the High Court (Criminal Division) of 15th July 2015
To a certain extent, this ruling highlights the impact that social media can have on committing a crime. In this case specifically, an individual is accused of exalting terrorism, in view of the fact that, on their social media, specifically Twitter, they had posted messages and images praising the actions of a terrorist group. Moreover, they expressed their desire for the same group to continue conducting attacks. As well as posting tweets, they retweeted other posts of a similar nature.
