Confidentiality, as an essential principle of the mediation process, is particularly involved in the online environment. This article investigates its significance, subjective and objective scope and its limits, taking into account existing autonomic regulations and the 2008/52 Directive, relating to specific aspects of mediation in civil and mercantile matters and related documents.
