This article assesses the reception of the poetry of Jordi de Sant Jordi (c. 1395-1424)
from the time of the earliest documents (1836) to the first critical edition of his verse
(1902), and its dissemination thereafter. We also study his influence, in the shadow of
Petrarch, on two periods of Catalan poetry (1911-1921, 1934-1936). Here the most important
names are Josep M. López-Picó, Carles Riba, Alexandre Plana and J. V. Foix
