This research’s target is to provide tools and ideas to improve the starting formation to teach historic time. It is a proposal of conceptual structure of historic time as a tool for research. We delve in the representations of teacher trainees and its practice. Starting from their representations we propose a classification depending on the knowledge they have of historic time. The analysis of this practice lets us understand the changes of perspective in the teachers trainees. It also allows to establish relations between their representations and their abilities to teach historic time.
