The redrawing of the francophone educational landscape in Barcelona (1965–1972)

The offer of French education in Barcelona comes to a turning point in the 1960's: the arrival of a new head master at Lycée Français, with the plan to Frenchify it, leads to differences. In 1968, a part of the staff and students leave Lycée Francais to set up Aula. This action caused long term damage to the school's image. At this new school, Aula, new differences appear. As a result one teacher leaves to found the school Bon Soleil in 1969. These series of disagreements helped strengthening the French influence and the amount of pupils studying in French or according to the French approach in Barcelona, which increased significantly as from the 1970'
