ICT in the classroom: Lights and Shadows

This paper presents the results of a case study conducted in several Elementary and Secondary Education Schools from the Community of Madrid. Focused interviews with principals, teachers, ITC coordinators and students from schools with varying availability of technological resources reveal
the difficulties teachers face when introducing new technologies to their practice. The study also provides some key routes to success, given the experience of the schools that are leading the technology integration process.
