By submitting a work to Comparative Cinema, the authors grant the editors non-exclusive rights to its reproduction, publication, public communication, distribution, and transformation for the purpose of publishing it in the journal. All the authors preserve the rights of their works, but guarantee the first publication to Comparative Cinema. The authors also authorize their article to be published under the aforementioned Creative Commons license.
The authors can re-do their material for other publications, but not before the definitive version is published in Comparative Cinema and is available as a citing reference. When reusing any kind of material, authors must recognize Comparative Cinema as the journal of original publication, with the corresponding reference.
Comparative Cinema recommends that authors submit their manuscripts to institutional or thematic open access repositories federated within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), always acknowledging the original publication on Comparative Cinema. Once the article reaches the final acceptance stage, before the official publication and the final PDF layout, authors can share that (post-print) text version. Once the text is published in open access, the author can share and distribute the document in the final PDF format.
