A historical study about the cultural life in Majorca in the early XIXth Century. The author points out the relationship between the main culture streams in Europe, mainly those which came from Paris and Barcelona, and the island cultural life, considering the books founds of the local libraries as well as the specialized journals and the publishing houses.
