El futur de la indústria musical a l’era de la intel·ligència artificial

Aquest article proposa situar en el context musical no acadèmic el recorregut tecnològic que ha prosseguit a diverses tècniques referides a la composició assistida per ordinador. Per a això, s’ha efectuat una breu revisió d’alguns conceptes associats a la música algorítmica, generativa, procedimental i, finalment, a mètodes que involucren l’ús de sistemes amb intel·ligència artificial (IA), tot tenint en compte el seu actual ancoratge i prospectiva dins de la música alternativa i comercial. En conseqüència, es pretén argumentar el rumb de la indústria musical que vindrà, precisament en una època en la qual s’evidencia una progressiva oferta de plataformes d’IA en el mercat, esteses amb la consigna d’innovar en els processos de producció i de distribució. Per exemplificar aquesta conjuntura, s’han considerat diversos projectes relacionats amb la música ambient, electrònica, trip-hop, post-rock i pop contemporani, les últimes realitzacions de les quals estan a la par d’aquests avenços tecnològics.

Pedro Rolando Apolo Valdivia, Universitat Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Perú)

Llicenciat en Art i màster en Educació per la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Exerceix la docència en l’àmbit superior en l’àrea d’arts electròniques i art i tecnologia. Els seus projectes com a artista integren pràctiques amb open hardware i software, reciclatge i hacking electrònic, ús de programació creativa i el desenvolupament de processos interactius. Ha participat en col·lectius sonors de Lima com Aloardi i Triac, i actualment col·labora amb el segell de música electrònica experimental Bifront Records de la ciutat de Morelia, Mèxic. Dins de les seves activitats, ha participat en diversos esdeveniments artístics i acadèmics en països com Perú, Xile, Brasil, Mèxic i Colòmbia.
