The construction of castles in Sardinia begins already in Byzantine epoch to defend itself from the peoples of the interior of the island. This phenomenon that we call of the incastellamento reaches importance in the 13th century and the 14th, with the arrival of the most powerful forces, which were destabilizing the political - social Sardinian world. This article investigates the history of the former district of Posada to slant the relations that the castle of the della Fava establishes with his territory, throughout the centuries XIII-XV.
