Llegada y consumo de cines asiáticos en Occidente

This article aims to identify and analyze the areas in which it has been developed, in the West, a growing interest in Asian cinemas (especially the ones of East Asia) in recent years, as well as the causes that explain it. This exploration will touch issues such as the role of international film festivals, the emergence of new audiences, the globalization of markets and the impact of the media. The final result wants to be a suggestive outline of relations rather than a definitive examination, for the «phenomenon of Asian cinema» will require many more studies in a near future, because it is perhaps the most important event in contemporary cinema.
