Les visites pastorals a Catalunya durant l’època moderna : mètodes de control sobre la parròquia, el clergat i la població

The Catalan modern pastoral visits had become a powerful instrument of confessionalisation. The objective will be multiple and diverse, immerse in a constant evolution and it takes part of the changes: the instauration of a social order (where the Church and the State remain at the top), the establishment of a Catholic religion in a homogeneous and united way, the control over the population, and the knowledge of the territory.
