Main Article Content
The main objective of this research article is the study of specific social groups that, although currently integrated into the Spanish armed forces, are still a minority. Specifically, we take about three groups: women, born abroad soldiers and Muslim army staff. We approach this work from an integrationist perspective of these minorities in the army. Therefore, at a first glance we introduce their inclusion process in the army as an organization. Secondly, we inquire about what we consider the main current elements of discrimination towards these groups. Lastly, we compare the situation with other armies and, as a conclusion, we make some reflections and proposals that could turn the Spanish armed forces into a more receptive and inclusive organization.
