Ignacio Manuel Altamirano i la literatura nacional: entre afany pedagògic i retorn a l'erotisme

En el present article, discuteixo les relacions entre amor, nació i escriptura pedagògica a les novel·les i alguns textos de la crítica literària de Ignacio Manuel Altamirano. Mentre que en gran part de les seves novel·les, amor i nació estan íntimament lligats en el sentit de formar al·legories nacionals, en els textos posteriors, i sobretot en els fragments Antonia, Beatriz i Atenea, presenciem una tornada a l'erotisme que qüestiona la imatge de relacions amoroses (re-)productives i amb elles l'afany de l'escriptura pedagògica com a instrument de l'educació civilitzadora de les masses.
