Este artículo explora cómo dos novelas cubanas de 2010 y 2012 tratan el tema del sujeto y de la comunidad. En Desde los blancos manicomios, de Margarita Mateo y en Días de entrenamiento, de Ahmel Echevarría se repiensa la comunidad y se imagina un futuro atravesando los temas de la muerte, el yo, y la isla. La tensión entre sujeto y símbolo nacional es crucial en estas narrativas, y a través de ella se articula la búsqueda de voz, vida y cuerpo en visiones contemporáneas sobre la singularidad.
