Batato Barea: trapero del “under” porteño en los años ochenta

En el presente trabajo nos centraremos en el retrato realizado por la fotógrafa Julieta Steimberg a Batato Barea —uno de los principales protagonistas de la escena del “under” porteño— en el año 1988 en el Festival del Body Art en la discoteca Paladium. Dicha fotografía se volverá la superficie de lectura sobre la cual reflexionar sobre los modos en los cuales el clown-travesti-literario produjo una estética vestimentaria que tuvo la particularidad de utilizar como principal elemento para su confección los desechos urbanos.
