Violencia bajo la luz del desierto: Mexicali City Blues de Gabriel Trujillo Muñoz

Las novelas de Gabriel Trujillo Muñoz, reunidas en el volumen Mexicali City Blues (2006), se desarrollan a partir de las premisas de la novela negra y cuyo origen es posible rastrear en el hard-boiled estadounidense. Sin embargo, presentan ciertas características propias del espacio geográfico y cultural donde suceden: el desierto y el espacio fronterizo entre México y Estados Unidos. Este trabajo pretende ser una reflexión crítica sobre la violencia en estos textos narrativos, así como sobre la pertinencia de escribir en torno a esta temática.
